An often common mistake made by new collectors when they look for Limoges porcelain trinket boxes or pill boxes is not realizing that Limoges is a city in France, not a brand name or the manufacturer of porcelain (porcelaine).
Presently, there are only a few factories actually still making trinket boxes out of Limoges Porcelain. Those companies produce trinket boxes in their company name and also for other companies who have paid to have an individual trademark and/or name to the boxes
