This Vintage French Metis Linen Sheet is from Gerardmer, a town in the Voges region of the Alsace. The area is famous for its linens.
Metis is the traditional French sheeting fabric. This is "metis superieur" which has a pure cotton warp and pure linen weft.
It is wonderful to sleep on and washes and wears much like pure linen.
Metis is perfect for curtains, blinds, etc., as it drapes really well.
The Sheet has Never been used. It does have discouloration from age and storage.
The fabric is in excellent condition and will be white in colour, once it is washed.
Give it a good hot water and Oxy soak then wash adding more Oxy.
Any discolouration is commensurate with age & storage.
